Program & Development VISTA- Step Up Savannah
 
 
 
Are you a recent college graduate looking to get real world experience? Are you motivated to serve your community by building the capacity of a non-profit agency? Are you interested in a new adventure while reducing your student loan debt? If so, Step Up Savannah is looking for you. The Program & Development VISTA will work with colleagues to build capacity for Step Up’s programs and focus specifically on its job training program (the Chatham Apprentice Program). This will entail working with staff to develop and implement standardized data management practices, demonstrate program impact, assist with program evaluation and build program awareness through community events and outreach. The VISTA will assist the agency to develop relationships with community partners to increase support and visibility for the program. This position will also work with staff to develop and implement fundraising strategies for this and other Step Up programs. The position will also assist with building the capacity of an alumni association for group of local leaders that have graduated from Step Up’s Neighborhood Leadership Academy. The Program & Development VISTA will also create materials and written pieces to communicate the impact of Step Up's programs. Step Up is looking for an outgoing and creative individual who is willing to take initiative for his/her own learning. Applicants should possess strong communication skills (written and verbal) and be comfortable interacting with diverse members of the community. The position requires some evening and weekend work. A vehicle is necessary for this position.
