Agency Capacity Development VISTA
 
 
 
For the last forty-seven years, the agency has delivered high-quality and effective programming to address the needs of the low-income populations residing in the agency’s vast service area. Currently, the organization operates the following six programs designed to address the critical needs facing its constituents: Healthy Families; Housing/Financial Counseling; Homeless Prevention; Micro-Loans; Project Discovery; and Project Hope. The agency’s VISTA program seeks to improve low-income residents’ access to existing programs and/or access to newly developed programs; improvement of data systems that will assist in the development of funding diversification strategies; development of high-quality internal systems that will increase the agency’s sustainability and employee retention. The VISTA member will be located at Quin Rivers 12025 Courthouse Cr. New Kent, VA 23124

Member Duties : Quin Rivers, Inc. serves 11 localities within the Central Virginia region by providing high-quality programmatic initiatives that meet the critical needs of the agency’s constituents. The VISTA member will assist the agency in helping people out of poverty through an accurate, in-depth analysis of poverty-related and demographic data. This analysis will assist in identifying gaps between identified needs and available resources and will ultimately help drive the agency’s five-year strategic plan. The VISTA will work closely with the Executive Assistant/Resource Development Specialist, Chief Financial Officer; and members of the agency’s Board of Directors to (1) provide an in-depth analysis of the 2017 Quin Rivers Community Needs Assessment Report; (2) provide administrative support to the Quin Rivers Strategic Planning Committee; and (3) provide administrative support to the Quin Rivers Finance and Human Resources Department.
