STOP focuses its efforts on areas impeding the achievement of self-sufficiency among hard-working, low-income wage earners. Several initiatives identified for service delivery include Child Care, Crisis Intervention, Education, Employment, Health, Housing, Nutrition, and Youth Services. Candidates are being recruited for service from May 2017- May 2018. The VISTA member will work closely with current staff to: Develop a Fund Development Plan / Marketing Plan to Ensure Program Sustainability and Improve Data Quality and Use in Informing Programmatic Decision Making. We are seeking self-motivated and passionate individuals to join our team! The VISTA member will be located at STOP, Inc.: 2551 Almeda Avenue, Norfolk, Virginia 23513

Member Duties : Develop a comprehensive marketing plan to inform stakeholders about the needs, accomplishments, and goals of the Organization. Improve the public awareness of STOP through effective PR, effective branding, and outreach efforts. Increase the amount of unrestricted funds via donations, and fundraising. Improve communication with community stakeholders. Implement an annual fund raising campaign to improve the organizational infrastructure. Assist staff in planning and implementing strategies to help realize the mission, vision and strategic plan. Increase the Organization’s efforts to manage, sustain, and expand existing and new programs, services, and partnerships within that meet the changing needs of low-income and disadvantaged residents. Develop an improved system to evaluate programs and services to achieve alignment with STOP’s mission and community needs, measure outcomes, and organizational funding sustainability. Include stakeholders and partners in program development.
