Boys & Girls Club College Bound Volunteer Coordinator
 
 
 
Boys & Girls Club of Kootenai County's College Bound program will target middle and high school students and their families to provide information and resources about the benefits of higher education. Along with information, this program provides step-by-step instructions on how to plan, prepare, pay for, and pursue a college education. College Bound activities for middle and high school students include: workshops, mentoring, tutoring, entrance exam test preparation, campus tours, instruction on preparing financial aid applications and enrollment forms, academic assistance, SAT/ACT prep, course selection assistance, and more, all of which will be led by our College Bound Coordinator.

Member Duties : The VISTA dedicated to setting up the system for case management will determine the necessary elements each file should have, create starting files for each participant, and work to assure files are maintained and students are on track. They will also oversee volunteer coordination, which includes recruiting volunteers, placing volunteers, and tracking volunteers to be case managers. Additionally, they will plan and implement all the special workshops, guest speaker presentations, and special events (i.e. university visits, college fairs, etc).
