Boys & Girls Club of Kootenai County's College Bound program will target middle and high school students and their families to provide information and resources about the benefits of higher education. Along with information, this program provides step-by-step instructions on how to plan, prepare, pay for, and pursue a college education. Activities include: workshops, mentoring, tutoring, entrance exam test preparation, campus tours, instruction on preparing financial aid applications and enrollment forms, academic assistance, SAT/ACT prep, course selection assistance, and more.

Member Duties : The VISTA dedicated to resource development will focus on securing partners to help implement the College Bound Program. This will include new donors and business partners as well as establishing methods of recruiting others. They will also be responsible for researching new grant opportunities, reviewing and utilizing existing grant opportunities, and writing and securing grants. Third, they will seek to build a pool of resources for scholarships, financial aid, and special awards for graduating seniors. Finally, they will create a physical as well as an online resource library of references for College Bound participants.
