Global Game Changers Fundraising/Volunteer VISTA

Global Game Changers is a nonprofit organization whose Discover Your Superpower programs use our Superhero Equation: MY TALENT + MY HEART = MY SUPERPOWER! to cultivate each child's individual connection to giving back. We do so through a compassion based, Pre-K – 5th grade, Common Core State Standards compliant curriculum that empowers kids to make the world a better place! Our curricula use philanthropy as a tool to improve engagement and achievement. Our curricula are used in schools, afterschool, camp programs, and one-day workshops. They are designed to inspire a lifetime of compassion and civic engagement, while improving self-esteem, academic achievement, and children’s knowledge of both their responsibility and their ability to make a difference, no matter who they are or where they come from. We focus our efforts on at-risk students and neighborhoods. The VISTA project will support the development, expansion, and evaluation of our programs in order to prepare young students for lives of success, service, and happiness.

Member Duties : The Fundraising & Volunteer Coordination VISTA will help to support the growth of the Global Game Changers organization by developing a strong network of supporters who are willing to donate time, talent, and treasure to the success of Global Game Changers and our students. S/he will help to organize and implement events, develop and expand outreach to supporters, and lay the groundwork for a relationship with donors and volunteers that will continue to serve the organization after the Member’s term. The Member will also have some program management and assessment duties in order to support expansion and growth, as well as to understand and help communicate the work and impact to potential supporters.
