Member Duties : The VISTA will develop a “legal toolkit” to be made available for low-income entrepreneurs as a self-help tool to educate them on the common legal issues and the pitfalls to avoid in launching or sustaining a small enterprise. The VISTA will develop and implement targeted community trainings that will educate low-income entrepreneurs on how to successfully resolve legal problems generally encountered in launching or sustaining a small enterprise. The VISTA will also develop and implement an ongoing curriculum component which will become a standard part of the curriculum offered in partnership with other community partners helping low-income entrepreneurs in planning and operating a small enterprise. The VISTA will work towards program sustainability by securing funding and expand the reach of small business legal assistance to the fourteen rural counties the Legal Aid Society serves.
