IGNITE Development and Communication VISTA

Cooper’s Poynt School and the Thomas H. Dudley Family School, two campuses within the Camden City School District, aspire to partner with community organizations to address the various needs of students and families living in poverty and that have negative effects on student achievement. Through your VISTA service, we aim to increase the schools' integration of partnerships in order to ultimately maximize student learning and strengthen families and the neighborhood. In addition to strengthening the school communities, you will also play a role in enriching extended day programming through the Ignite afterschool program. The Ignite program aims to provide educational enrichment and fun activities for students in grades 4-8. In this position, you will identify key supporters for community schools, develop partnerships to support students’ educational success and to bring in additional resources to meet school needs. This position requires pre-service drug screening and criminal background checks. Start dates are available once per month. Contact us for exact dates.
