ShareCorps- Second Harvest Foodbank of North Central Ohio

Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio is the regional nonprofit committed to fighting hunger in north central Ohio. Working together with a vast network to acquire, gather, and distribute food to partner charities who operate pantry, hot meal, homeless shelter, child nutrition, senior citizen, and fresh produce distribution programs for our neighbors and friends who need food assistance in our communities. SHFBNCO helps feed tens of thousands of people throughout Crawford, Erie, Huron, and Lorain counties. For every $1 donated, we are able to provide 4 meals to those at risk of hunger. Member Duties : PantryTrak is a registration and reporting system designed to increase the capacity of Ohio food pantries to respond to client needs in a diversified, effective, and dignified way. As a PantryTrak training coordinator, the VISTA will contribute toward the development of state wide infrastructure through implementation at the local level within our four-county service territory. The VISTA will be working with our partner pantry programs to train staff and volunteers and help them move from a paper system to a cloud based system. This system is faster and easier for the clients being served and easier for the organization to manage. The system will also allow us to better tailor our outreach and programs to meet the needs of our clients - either directly or by referral.
