FIT VISTA- Special Events and Fundraising Coordinator

Families in Transition (FIT) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide safe, affordable housing and supportive services to individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, enabling them to gain self-sufficiency and respect. With 20 buildings (and growing) and over 200 housing units, FIT provides an array of housing options, including emergency short-term shelter, transitional, and permanent housing in Manchester, Concord, and Dover, NH. The need for the type of housing and services that Families in Transition offers is constantly growing. Last year, we were able to help and house 681 people, half of whom were children. As a way to become more self-sustainable, FIT has two entrepreneurial businesses where all the proceeds generated come back into supporting the agencies housing and services for the homeless. We have two 4,000 square foot thrift stores, OutFITters Thrift Stores in Manchester and OutFITters Thrift Store Boutique in Concord. FIT is an entrepreneurial and growing organization that employs over 75 people in a variety of locations.
