Intermountain AmeriCorps is an established AmeriCorps team with a 25 year history of meeting critical needs in North Central Washington. We strive to have a diverse, dedicated, and adventurous team of individuals from across the country. Our members utilize their skills, abilities, and enthusiastic awesomeness to build capacity in area non-profit organizations in Chelan, Douglas, Grant and Okanogan Counties. We believe in creating a meaningful community with an active network and support among our AmeriCorps members. This Intermountain AmeriCorps VISTA will serve at the YWCA of North Central Washington in Wenatchee, WA, helping to build the organization's capacity to serve underprivileged community members through donor development, fundraising, grant writing, and community engagement. Currently the YWCA focuses on providing homeless housing services to women and women with children. Member Duties : Jumpstart your professional experience and help an organization that focuses on providing homeless housing services to women and women with children. You'll steward the volunteer program by facilitating volunteer activities while developing and coordinating volunteer recognition best practices. You'll also assist in developing and executing a mission-driven fundraiser. Plan and implement house party fundraising activities, deliver mission moments, train others to assist in growing the house party model into a sustainable source of income. You'll have the chance to support donor stewardship activities, donor events, and outreach (electronically and in person). You will aid in grant writing endeavors by helping to gather and compile data across all programs for use in grant projects and donor relations. Grant research, and planning and collaborative writing is a possibility.
