| Member Duties : Turn the Page KC VISTA Summer Associates will prevent summer learning loss for low-income elementary school students by providing one-on-one literacy instruction and small group enrichment activities at Kansas City summer programs. VISTA Summer Associates will: -Attend 4 days of initial training in evidence-based literacy interventions -Provide remedial reading instruction to targeted students in a one-on-one setting -Enhance classroom instruction through small-group reading activities -Implement elements of fun literacy education into recreational and enrichment activities -Support program teachers in implementing summer curriculum
