Educurious Outreach Coordinator, UWKC

Educurious is fundamentally transforming the K-12 education experience. Our vision: To create an effective education system in which youth learn in meaningful and inspiring ways, and classrooms are places they want to be. Our goal: To cultivate curious, motivated young people who are ready for college and tomorrow's careers. By combining project-based learning, technology, and connections with real-world experts, we create meaningful learning experiences that cultivate contemporary skills. Educurious is proving that things can change in education—that more kids can graduate from high school and go on to success in college, careers, and life. This position is one of 30 VISTAs serving through United Way of King County. We deploy AmeriCorps VISTAs with partner agencies doing excellent work. By providing capacity-building support, VISTA members make valuable contributions to increasing the impact of King County’s nonprofit sector on our most vulnerable populations. United Way VISTAs meet as a team at least monthly to participate in high-quality training and professional development, networking opportunities, service projects and reflection. Our members become part of an extensive nonprofit network with access to excellent resources and learning opportunities. While gaining valuable professional skills and experience, our team works together to change communities and improve lives.
