MNA 2017 - The ROCK Center for Youth Development
 
 
 
As a VISTA with the ROCK Center for Youth Development, you’ll both expand current afterschool programming focused on academic engagement as well as build new programming to boost student employability skills. You’ll help Midland-area students realize their potential, become more academically engaged, and ensure they have the skills to have a successful future. Michigan Nonprofit Association (MNA) is a statewide nonprofit organization that serves its nonprofit members to advance their missions. MNA's vision is that Michigan's nonprofit sector be a vital leader in building and sustaining thriving communities, and MNA believes that active, engaged volunteers are imperative.

Member Duties : • Further develop the existing tutoring program through research of best practices and recruitment of volunteers. • Maintain partnerships as well as develop programs within the ROCKit STEM program. • Evaluate existing gaps in current employability services and how to fill those gaps. • Engage community partners to develop employability programs, as well as to recruit volunteers or participants.
