United Way of Northwest Michigan AmeriCorps VISTA Project 3-
 
 
 
VISTA’s will provide capacity building, sustainability, and programmatic support to their host site. These positions are located in beautiful Traverse City, Michigan. There are opportunities with the following organizations: Food and Farming Network Traverse Bay Area Intermediate School District Farm to School Inland Seas Education Association Norte! Youth Cycling Junior Achievement Launch Manistee Northwest Lower Michigan Regional VISTA Project Members will be working to build capacity within their host sites. This includes, but is not limited to: program development, grant writing, volunteer recruitment and training, and marketing. Previous experience is preferred but not required in any of these areas. Opportunities to expand one's own understanding in these areas will be provided. VISTAs will also have opportunities to connect and net work with other VISTAs and community partners within the region to further their own professional interest.
