Serve Philadelphia VISTA Leader
 
 
 
The Office of Civic Engagement and Volunteer Service in the Mayors Office is seeking a VISTA Leader to support and grow our Serve Philadelphia VISTA Program. The Serve Philadelphia VISTA Program is an opportunity for individuals to gain valuable experience in Philadelphia City Government while positively impacting their communities. The Serve VISTA Leader will support 25-35 VISTA members. The Office of Civic Engagement and Volunteer Service is committed to investing in people to increase community engagement. We do this by building relationships, soliciting input, providing information, connecting community residents to resources and supporting the process to strengthen communities across Philadelphia.

Member Duties : The Serve VISTA Leader will increase the reach of our program; create a sustainable and intentional program structure; increase awareness of the program; support the recruitment, onboarding and retention of VISTA members; and collect and analyze data on the impact of Serve Philadelphia VISTA projects. The VISTA Leader is required to have completed a year of service and must have a bachelor’s degree or relevant experience. A qualified candidate for the VISTA Leader position will have a high level of emotional intelligence, effective communication skills, the capacity to motivate a diverse group and the ability to solve problems as they arise in real time. The VISTA Leader must be an ambassador of our program core values: accountability, communication, community, growth, reflection, and respect. Start date is negotiable. This position is for a full 12 months. **Previous successful completion of a National Service or Peace Corps term is required.**
