Volunteer Houston - Rebuilding Together VISTA
 
 
 
Volunteer Houston VISTA members will expand their host sites’ organizational capacity to effectively engage volunteers and expand services. Members will enable our partners to build lasting volunteer infrastructure by creating the processes and tools needed to effectively access and utilize valuable volunteer program resources. At the same time, more opportunities will be created for community volunteers to engage in meaningful service to under-resourced communities to support efforts to alleviate poverty in Greater Houston.

Member Duties : The VISTA will create opportunities to engage current volunteers and supporters, help develop a new Salesforce Database, and create a historical archive for Rebuilding Together Houston. Duties include: working with staff to interview homeowners, volunteers, and funders that who exemplify the Rebuilding story, creating an electronic newsletter which will include the stories each month, and engaging followers online via social media with infographics, photo albums, and educational materials around aging, elderly health, the Houston community, housing, home improvement, Veterans services, and other related topics. The VISTA will organize volunteer training opportunities, young professionals, leadership activities, and events to engage Rebuilding Together's volunteers, supporters, and potential new friends.
