SERVE Philadelphia Healthy Housing&Homelessness Coordinator

The Office of the Deputy Managing Director for Health & Human Services is currently looking for a Healthy Housing & Homelessness Prevention Coordinator to help drive efforts to improve access to affordable housing, prevent homelessness and ensure the livability of local housing. The work will focus in particular on addressing the needs of renters to prevent eviction and reduce health hazards in the home. The Housing & Homelessness Prevention Coordinator will help to advance the work of Shared Prosperity Philadelphia – a citywide anti-poverty plan – by coordinating the efforts of the Shared Prosperity Housing Working Group, which is developing strategies to leverage existing resources to reduce homelessness. This role will help to develop a common agenda for partners, develop new pilot programs to prevent homelessness among renters, working with the Philadelphia Housing Authority to strengthen wraparound services that enable people to stay in the homes, and develop evaluation tools and metrics to measure progress.

Member Duties : Develop agendas and materials for monthly housing working group meetings. Develop a data dashboard to track activities. Develop tools to share information across partners and with the public. Coordinate the implementation of pilot projects that will later be brought to scale. Convene best practices and data development subcommittees. Perform best practice research, and author memos to develop recommendations. Develop trainings and information sessions. Help to identify and recruit partners. Develop program goals.
