VISTA Collaborative at West Virginia University

As a VISTA at West Virginia University, you will gain hands-on experience in the areas of resource development, volunteer recruitment and management, and program development, all while making a difference in some of the most poverty-stricken communities in our nation. We believe that by addressing areas of opportunity within our higher education community, we can work together to have a sustainable impact on West Virginia. Our VISTAs work on a variety of projects with goals to increase college retention and graduation rates, connect the university to the community, and tackle significant issues faced by Appalachian communities. Our VISTA members serve at seventeen host sites in Morgantown, Beckley, and Keyser. We are currently recruiting one VISTA member to serve in Keyser starting in spring 2019, two VISTA members to serve in Morgantown starting in spring 2019, and many additional VISTA members to serve in Morgantown starting in the summer and fall of 2019.
