Arizona Serve - Community Food Bank Engagement Coordinator

The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona (CFBSA) provides immediate food crisis relief to children, families, and the elderly. In addition to supporting clients in gaining consistent access to sufficient food, CFBSA also offers gardening programs, culinary job training, and other services that help lift individuals out of poverty and onto a path of financial stability. When founded in 1976, the CFBSA began providing food for 500 meals per day. Forty years later, the CFB provides enough food for 98,500 meals per day and serves a total of 225,000 hungry, low-income men, women and children per month throughout a 23,100-square-mile area. CFSBA is currently undergoing evaluation and change in order to reach the goals of increased efficacy and sustainability. Proposed strategies include increasing volunteer engagement and deepening relationships with supporters and clients through a variety of engagement methods. We are seeking an AmeriCorps VISTA member to assist with the implementation of these strategies. Our programs provide needed nutrition for children and families experiencing the negative effects of hunger. **Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, please don't wait to apply for consideration.**
