Crossing Home Employer Liaison (EMERGE)
 
 
 
The Employer Liaison position is part of the Emerge VISTA program and will be serving out of the Crossing Home offices in Minneapolis, MN. Crossing HOME is a non-profit organization that has worked for over a decade to build positive and constructive relationships between felons and community agencies. The company has expanded to four states – with 50 supportive homes in MN that support over 400 men and women exiting the criminal justice system and in recovery. Crossing HOME emphasizes community support to solve problems that people face after incarceration through employment opportunities, sober housing, life coaching, and restorative justice practices.

Member Duties : In this position, you will network with employers around the Twin Cities to discover new hiring and training options for clients with a criminal background. You will be able to travel within the community, visiting job fairs and work sites, as well as work with partner agencies that host events that promote related reentry issues. You will also work to build a weekly job readiness meeting to prepare participants for independence after returning from incarceration. This is a great way to network within Minnesota’s reentry community and gain exposure to a multitude of different potential future career paths within government and non-profit agencies, as well as for-profit companies. You will be encouraged to participate in professional development through group trainings, conferences, and other positive experiences.
