The Northern New England Campus Compact VISTA Program is focused on the development of programming on campuses across Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont that will increase access to higher education for low income individuals by providing programming focused on improving college aspirations, increasing the belief that college is an option and increasing access to higher education for low income individuals seeking higher education. CCNH is currently recruiting for a team oVISTAs to serve at host sites across the state to achieve these goals.

Member Duties : The AmeriCorps VISTA member will support UNH Manchester's continued community engagement activities to the low-income population through the four intersecting projects: 1) to support & administer the projects generated through the college's Food Insecurity Committee, 2) to determine community needs through research and data analysis in collaboration with students in the Leadership Academy on food security issues, 3) to explore the viability of effective anti-poverty programming in collaboration with the college's center for civic and Community Engagement with special attention toward recruiting students for participatory action projects.
