Program Development Associate - Ujamaa Place

Ujamaa Place is a Saint Paul organization focused on African American men (18-30), suffering multiple barriers to becoming stable, productive members of society. Barriers include being undereducated, unemployed and/or unemployable, affiliated with gangs, a criminal history, suffering from homelessness, affiliated with drug abuse, and experiencing a general marginalization by greater society. Ujamaa Place provides programming within a community environment that assists men with stable housing, re-engagement with families, work and life skills essential to self-sufficiency, with a focus on work-entry programming, specific skills training, employment retention, and financial management training. The VISTA project will strengthen fundraising, communication, marketing, and program development efforts.
