DREAM - Development Assistant

Maybe you’d like to join us? We are seeking a Development Assistant in our Philadelphia office. DREAM is a youth development organization that works to change the life outcomes of youth living in low-income housing developments by providing high quality, college campus based Village Mentoring, summer enrichment programming, local and regional adventures, support for post-secondary success, and an unwavering commitment to some of our most vulnerable youth. DREAM recruits college student volunteers to serve as mentors to youth living in affordable housing. All DREAM youth receive consistent, year-round DREAM programming, from elementary school through high school graduation and into college and career. DREAM believes in the adage that “it takes a village to raise a child” and takes a more community oriented approach to mentoring, building a strong social support network around each youth participant. DREAM is a small but growing organization seeking to increase its impact and reach in Philadelphia.

Member Duties : The Development Associate will work closely with the Regional Director to execute DREAM’s annual development and outreach plan for organizational growth. In addition to researching and prospecting new donors, donor advised grants and foundations, the DA will assist with the planning and execution of several special events and will serve as a resource for all DREAM crowdfunding, annual campaign initiatives, and social media efforts. They will be responsible for managing program donor data in a Salesforce database and compile solicitation materials for annual and summer appeals. The DA will contribute to the development of partnerships with new low-income communities and collaboration with additional colleges and universities in the Philadelphia region. Additionally, they will work closely with DREAM alumni and help create opportunities for them to engage with current mentors as well as manage the logistics and implementation of DREAM’s teen “Mentor-In-Training” curriculum.
