US2020 (PA) Development and Fundraising Coordinator
 
 
 
US2020PHL, led by the Mayor’s Office of Education, is seeking a VISTA with outstanding skills in the areas of project management, communications, research, computer & technical skills, adaptability, leadership, multi-cultural awareness, problem solving, & teamwork. These skills are vital for successfully working toward: Continued engagement with coalition partners to increase the quality & quantity of high-Impact mentoring in Philadelphia. VISTAs are required to learn & assess the strengths of partners to better facilitate resource sharing and capacity building; including the implementation of best practices from 4 pilot programs. Maintain an online platform allowing for interaction with coalition partners on an ongoing basis; including an OST STEM program map that assists with mentoring-matching. Identify & collaborate with youth-serving organizations across the city in for mentor training, vetting, & recruiting, marketing, & collective impact.

Member Duties : The member will be responsible for researching possible grant opportunities to fund both organizational and project budgets for the 2016-17 year. Based on US2020 PHL financial program and initiative need, the member will set fundraising goals to meet the established goals. The member will have the opportunity to attend professional development events that are fundraising and grant-writing focused. The member will document all efforts and outcomes of the fundraising and grant writing process. They will also work with the Communication & Mentor Recruitment Coordinator to identify possible funding co-applicants in the US2020 PHL coalition. The member will leverage resources from corporate sponsors ( in-kind or financial donations) to further develop initiatives and programming. MANDATORY orientation required from July 18-22, 2016.
