US2020 (PA) Pilot Program Coordinator
 
 
 
US2020PHL, led by the Mayor’s Office of Education, is seeking a VISTA with outstanding skills in the areas of project management, communications, research, computer & technical skills, adaptability, leadership, multi-cultural awareness, problem solving, & teamwork. These skills are vital for successfully working toward: Continued engagement with coalition partners to increase the quality & quantity of high-Impact mentoring in Philadelphia. VISTAs are required to learn & assess the strengths of partners to better facilitate resource sharing and capacity building; including the implementation of best practices from 4 pilot programs. Maintain an online platform allowing for interaction with coalition partners on an ongoing basis; including an OST STEM program map that assists with mentoring-matching. Identify & collaborate with youth-serving organizations across the city in for mentor training, vetting, & recruiting, marketing, & collective impact.

Member Duties : The Pilot Program Coordinator will build a network of partners to match mentor providers and mentor receivers. They will focus their efforts on expanding existing pilot programs as well as building three new pilot program models during the 2016-17 year. This will require building on existing relationships to reinforce and retain mentor receivers and providers. The member will also be responsible for capturing and documenting program elements to support the storytelling component of the US2020PHL work. The member will distribute evaluation documents to both the students and mentors to gain information about the success of the program. Data and feedback will be analyzed to determine scaling the program to other schools with the same infrastructure. The member will work with US2020PHL staff to identify potential corporate mentor providers and create/ adapt a tool and collateral to engage potential individuals. MANDATORY orientation required from July 18-22, 2016.
