VISTA Bridges

The United Way of Greenville County in Upstate South Carolina is seeking 9 high-impact, results-driven, service-oriented and passionate candidates to lead our innovative Collective Impact approach to community and economic development. Join our dynamic team and serve with internationally leading organization United Way to improve our ability as a community to reach low income individuals and lead them onto the Cycle of Success. Essential to this effort is Encompass, a multi-agency collaborative to collect and track individual client level data from dozens of United Way partner organizations in order to measure impact and the effectiveness of investments to help families achieve self-sufficiency. VISTA Bridges team members will participate in a first of its kind data integration collaborative, unique to any community. Members will also build capacity for Greenville nonprofit organizations through grant writing, process and procedure development, volunteer recruitment and training, and sustainability planning to increase their ability to serve the community of Greenville County. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates seeking professional experience or a gap year, retirees looking for meaningful opportunities, or anyone who is interested in starting a career in the nonprofit sector. VISTA Bridges team members will also receive monthly professional development trainings, mentorship, and access to further growth opportunities. Those who have a desire to serve others, skills or experience related to communications, fund-raising, grant writing, recruitment, and computers and technology would be a great fit for our program. Our 2019-2020 partner sites are as follows: United Way of Greenville County (Grant Holder), Able SC, Goodwill Greenville, Greenville Technical College, Hispanic Alliance, Meals on Wheels, Rebuild Upstate, United Ministries, Upstate Warrior Solution, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program
