Outreach Content Specialist

Center for People in Need provides comprehensive services and opportunities to support low-income, high needs families, and individuals to strive to lift themselves out of poverty and achieve economic self-sufficiency. Our goals are to assist other human services agencies that are providing social and economic needs of low income and high needs families, provide emergency and basic needs of families through direct services, develop and support educational programs, increase job trainings and improve computer skills for low income workers. The Outreach Content Specialist VISTA member will compile meaningful and thought provoking stories from individuals and families of those living in poverty illustrating their experiences, barriers and successes to overcome the effects of poverty. These stories will be written for both digital and analog methods of dissemination and document the lives changed and impacts made by those who have been helped by the Center for People in Need. The individual will identify common threads and themes that can be used for staff training, programming and to inform efforts to impact community change. The member will develop marketing strategies to publish stories in multiple forums and on multiple platforms and create a tracking tool to capture analytics and impact.
