Refugee and Immigrant Services: Outreach Coordinator VISTA
 
 
 
The VISTA program at the kansas City Public Library is breaking the cycle of poverty by building a community of readers. The mission oft he Refugee and Immigrant Services (RIS) at the Library is to connect immigrant populations with the quality services, resources, and lifelong learning opportunities of the Library. RIS achieves this through outreach, education, and advocacy. RIS VISTAs will build the capacity of the Library and RIS through program development, community engagement, staff and volunteer engagement, and financial development.

Member Duties : The Refugee and Immigrant Services AmeriCorps VISTA members will build the capacity of the Library to serve refugee and immigrant populations through program development, community engagement, staff and volunteer engagement, and financial development.
