Mid-Ohio Foodbank provides food to hundreds of thousands of hungry Ohioans each year by partnering with more than 620 community partners across 20 counties in central and eastern Ohio, including food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, senior centers, and after-school programs. In 2015, the Foodbank distributed more than 55 million pounds of food and grocery products to their partner charities. Mid-Ohio Foodbank is a member of Feeding America. Member Duties : Building on our previous success, we are looking for a VISTA to develop a fresh foods distribution program that increases fresh food access in low-income neighborhoods and also enhances our community supported agriculture (CSA) program that generates revenue for the urban farm initiative. Member will work on creating a sub-grantee process: help design the application process, create a reporting and tracking system for sub-grantees, help the Urban Farm team utilize their resources effectively. Complete a needs assessment for our urban growers and identify solutions to addressing those needs. Build and enhance community garden projects, both infrastructure and educational programs, so that the garden betters serves and engages food pantry clients.
