Tremont West Summer Associate
 
 
 
The Summer Associate would be responsible for the coordination of community garden and vacant land/public greenspace reuse projects, such as the Professor Avenue Bioswales. The Associate would work to secure volunteers and assist the garden leaders with maintenance. The Associate would assist at the Tremont Farmers’ Market. In addition, the Associate would work directly with our Housing Inclusion Specialist to assist with community outreach around affordable housing. The Associate would assist with our Arts in August series which offers free dance and theatre performances in Tremont’s Lincoln Park.

Member Duties : This is the complete job description that applicants will see. (1000 characters or less) The Summer Associate will work alongside staff and community members and Tremont West staff to support the Tremont neighborhood’s community gardens and public spaces, Tremont Farmers’ Market, affordable housing outreach and Arts in August event series. The Summer Associate will be responsible for the coordination of community garden and vacant land/public greenspace reuse projects. The Tremont Farmers’ Market serves over 1,000 people weekly. The Associate will assist the Market Manager with various tasks to ensure the market’s success. In addition, the Associate will work directly with our Housing Inclusion Specialist to assist with program outreach, and regular duties such as rent collection. This again includes community outreach and direct contact with interested residents. The Associate will also assist with our Arts in August series which offers free dance and theatre performances.
