CN VISTA Fellows: SEEED Program Coordinator
 
 
 
Focused on addressing education injustice, C-N VISTA Fellows will address youth development, adult education, and much more throughout their term of service. Each VISTA is matched with a service site at an off-campus, non-profit partner in Knox of Jefferson County where they connect the resources of our campus and the community to further strengthen their work.

Member Duties : This project will focus on utilizing volunteers and resource mobilization to build the capacity of SEEED to support low-income young adults to develop sustainable careers. The VISTA member’s efforts will primarily support the Career Readiness Program with a secondary interest of future program development to expand the capacity of SEED. The VISTA member’s duties will include: *Supporting and developing the capacity of the Career Readiness Program to serve low-income young adults in Knoxville *Building partnerships with local organizations to establish a new program to train young adults for weatherization and other environmental careers *Increasing volunteer opportunities connected to SEEED’s Career Readiness Program and related community activities *Participating in Bonner Center and Carson-Neman community networking, service, and training *Promoting sustainability of programs and transfer of knowledge, resources, and contacts to site based staff and subsequent VISTA member
