Lessons/activity sessions will be for 2 hours each with a session in the morning and a session in the afternoon, 5 days a week for 8 weeks while their parents are attending and English as a Second Language (ESL) or Citizenship education classes. Summer VISTA Associates will be instrumental in creating a new program to fill the summer learning gap for low income children and providing them with exceptional learning experiences that will have a lasting impact. The final week of the service term will allow for project close out and recognition. The Center for People in Need provides comprehensive services and opportunities to support low-income families and individuals as they strive to lift themselves out of poverty and achieve economic self sufficiency.
