Humboldt State: STEM Community Engagement Advocate

The CSU STEM VISTA program is focused on eliminating race, class, and gender disparities in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math). Our VISTA members serve on a California State University (CSU) campus implementing and enhancing programs and projects that support STEM student success. Projects vary based on the specific STEM student needs on the campus focusing on low income, first generation, students of color and women. In the past, VISTA members have helped campuses launch peer mentoring programs, expand partnerships with K-12 schools, develop academic enrichment trainings and workshops, and establish academic internship and research opportunities. Our VISTA members serve full-time for one year (July – July). This position is one of 19 available positions within the cohort-based CSU STEM VISTA program.
