CYS Youth in Service 16-17

The mission of the AmeriCorps - Youth in Service Program is to develop service leaders who address critical needs in the areas of education and human needs in the South Puget Sound region. WE CURRENTLY HAVE FOUR POSITIONS REMAINING AND ARE CONTINUING TO ACCEPT APPLICATIONS. AmeriCorps Members promote and develop the ethic of service by creating opportunities for others to perform meaningful community service, create increased opportunities for high needs students to improve their academic and social skills, and provide direct service to children and families that promote safe, healthy and sustainable living. While members serve at individual placement sites, teamwork is highly valued and members meet often for training, planning service projects, reflection and support. The Youth in Service program only accepts professional references; defined as teachers, coaches, clergy, and job or volunteer supervisors. Questions about our reference policy and program can be directed to Jason Martinelli. For more information about Youth in Service, site positions available and descriptions please visit: www.communityyouthservices.org/p_americorps_YIS.shtml
