NAU VISTA Project: STEM/College Access/COVID-19 Recovery
 
 
 
The Flagstaff STEM/College Access/COVID-19 Recovery VISTA project will engage 16 VISTAs in the three focus areas. These members will build the capacity for schools, nonprofits, public health departments, college departments etc. by building processes and systems behind the scenes such as building curriculum, recruiting and training volunteers, securing resources, and developing new partnerships in order to support each host site and alleviate poverty in the local communities.

Member Duties : This is a general posting for all of the NAU Flagstaff VISTA positions. Annually we host 16 VISTA positions in three different focus areas that include: STEM Education, College and Career Access, and COVID-19 Recovery. Each VISTA will create curriculum, recruit and train volunteers, create targeted outreach to low-income families, secure resources, and develop new partnerships in order to alleviate poverty in local communities. Each member will be assigned to a specific host organization and have a designated focus area and detailed position description.
