AmeriCorps Partnership to End Homelessness

On any given night, over 1,000 people will be living on the streets or shelters in Greensboro. The Partnership to End Homelessness is dedicated to alleviating homelessness in Guilford County. The 26 members of the program serve at 9 partner agencies: Mary's Homes, The Servant Center, Step Up Greensboro, Out of the Garden Project, the Interactive Resource Center, Greensboro Urban Ministry, YWCA, One Step Further, FaithAction International House, and Greensboro Housing Coalition. Members work directly with homeless clients to provide food, shelter, emergency financial assistance, life skills, and case management. Each month they implement community service projects to benefit the homeless and hungry. Before applying, please make sure you meet our eligibility requirements found at: http://www.theservantcenter.org/Americorps/AmeriCorpsMembers.aspx We accept applications beginning 2/1 for the service year which begins in early September. Early applicants have the best selection of roles. While we welcome out of state applicants, all member roles are in Greensboro and only those willing and able to travel to Greensboro for a series of interviews should apply. We accept the online AmeriCorps application only. After we receive your application, you will be contacted via email. Our team is a lively group, dedicated to serving others. We are seeking committed and engaged individuals who aren't afraid of going above and beyond in service to the Greensboro community.
