Boys & Girls Clubs of Indpls Community Engagement Coord.
 
 
 
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis (BGCI) provides a safe and fun environment with programs that help build academic success and job readiness, healthy lifestyles, and good character and citizenship. In an effort to continue to effectively serve Indianapolis youth and expand organizational capacity, the VISTA Community Engagement project was developed. The VISTA Community Engagement Coordinator's key responsibility is to provide support to the resource development program by implementing volunteer and community outreach strategies that engage volunteers, alumni, donors in additional resource development programs. This VISTA member will focus on volunteer engagement, neighborhood outreach programs, and community partnerships. The VISTA Community Engagement Coordinator will report to the Director of Development & Marketing for overall guidance, but will collaborate with the resource development team members on individual projects.

Member Duties : Duties include identify and recruit community groups and individual volunteers; communicate with the team regularly to assess needs for volunteer assistance; revise and implement BGCI 101 program; assess volunteer feedback received through comment forms; build relationships with community partners to keep them engaged throughout the year; identify volunteers that have the capacity to contribute financially; create and implement a stewardship plan for volunteers; participate in volunteer recognition programs; invite and engage volunteers to events throughout the year; maintain accurate records and provide timely statistical and activity reports on volunteer participation; participate in community fairs and outreach activities to promote the mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis.
