Center For Family Services (CFS) is a large and exciting nonprofit human services agency based in Camden City, NJ. Center For Family Services has been a force for positive change since 1920, and offers more than 70 programs that support people in finding the vision, the hope, and the strength for a better life. Whether it is a child who is ready for preschool or a mom looking for support to recover from addiction, we are dedicated to help. Our goal is to break the cycle of poverty, violence, trauma, and addiction and help people to overcome obstacles, to find comfort, and to build the foundation for a successful future. In order for us to continue to do this, we need your help. CFS is seeking support from AmeriCorps VISTAs to build the capacity of our administrative infrastructure, as well as the infrastructure of our adolescent services programs. This position requires pre-service drug screening and criminal background checks. Start dates are available once per month. Contact us for exact dates.

Member Duties : The Adolescent Services VISTA member will assist in the creation of processes that help families easily access services and increases the number of children and families enrolled in CFS programs. The VISTA member will help to develop efficient processes around referral process and outreach to referral sources who serve families who may benefit from programs. The VISTA member will enhance the CFS continuum of care process so clients transition successfully from one pipeline program to another to ensure continuous and comprehensive services for families. This service opportunity will include the following: develop and maintain strong referral relationships; develop a program structure to include protocols and staff manuals; manage client data in various tracking systems. This position requires pre-service drug screening and criminal background checks.
