Investment Associate
This position is responsible for leveraging local networks and building a national and global network of potential funders in order to secure improved access to capital for entrepreneurs in Propellers ecosystem, building a funding pipeline for entrepreneurs in Propeller’s network structured out to identify the right source of capital whether by sector or geography and the ability to connect them, and increasing the number of ventures funded by local, national, and global firms/VC’s/Angels and increase visibility for future cohorts by funding institutions.

Member Duties : To design and implement systems and materials that will expand the capacity and effectiveness of Propeller, which will grow the number of social enterprises served impacting the social, environmental, and economic problems of New Orleans in the areas of educational equity, healthy food, healthcare, and water. All VISTAs who join the Propeller team will be an integral part of improving Propeller’s systems for programming, interdepartmental effectiveness, and operations. All VISTAs will also take part in a leadership development program that has been created by, and which will be led by, a senior member of the Propeller team. The program will involve interactive group work, team workshops and discussions, and a curriculum that is based on trainings given by the World Economic Forum, the Truman National Security Project, and the Council on Foreign Relations.
