Volunteer Houston–NextOp Vets VISTA
 
 
 
Volunteer Houston VISTA members will expand their host sites’ organizational capacity to effectively engage volunteers and expand services. Members will enable our partners to build lasting volunteer infrastructure by creating the processes and tools needed to effectively access and utilize valuable volunteer program resources. At the same time, more opportunities will be created for community volunteers to engage in meaningful service to under-resourced communities to support efforts to alleviate poverty in Greater Houston.

Member Duties : Members will work toward NextOp's mission to serve our nation’s hardworking veterans by providing career placement assistance, mentorship, and support in their transition into industry. VISTAs will integrate with other collaborative system member organizations in order to learn their mission, purpose, programs, and scope. VISTAs will then develop, test, and launch an integrated technology platform to serve collaborative systems by establishing an integrated technology platform that will allow service providers to refer clients securely and measure interactions for reporting purposes. Finally, VISTAs will develop, test, and launch a coordinated marketing campaign that targets inbound military families, volunteers, and supporters by engaging inbound military families, new volunteers, and new supporters in the mission of the coalition. Applicant must be a veteran of the US Armed Forces.
