OneOC Disaster Resiliency for Vulnerable Populations
 
 
 
DRVP Fellow Position Description DRVP Fellows will build a stronger and more sustainable capacity for operational resilience and critical service delivery to vulnerable populations after a disaster strikes. The DRVP member will accomplish this through: • Strengthening organizational capacity • Developing relationships with civic groups and community stakeholders • Securing resources to support the disaster program • Managing a cadre of high-value disaster volunteers The DRVP Fellows’ primary role is to develop a volunteer program at the Partner Site, bringing resources of volunteers to respond to local emergencies and strengthen service delivery to vulnerable populations after a disaster strikes. DRVP Fellows spend time in the community building partnerships and forging lasting relationships that will strengthen community capacity in order to make disaster response and recovery a collaborative effort between the Partner Site and civic groups. This position is a valuable opportunity to develop the Partner Site’s presence and impact in the community and make a lasting difference in the mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery of the site as well as the community with regards to disasters.
