Engagement and Outreach Coordinator
 
 
 
The need for VISTA Members to support veteran outreach in Nevada is significant. This program will place community liaisons in rural and urban communities across Nevada to serve the veteran community by linking them with services and opportunities that improve their lives. Guided by the Collective Impact Framework, the VISTA Member will assist existing staff develop state and local capacity; work to develop a rapport with local veteran communities; develop original engagement and outreach activities to reach the veteran population; and serve as a conduit for referrals to service providers. They will build that rapport and engagement momentum into sustainable networks and events that can be carried forward after their service ends. Through this work, VISTA Members will directly impact underserved, homeless, unemployed, and desperately disadvantaged veterans find shelter, sustenance, employment, health benefits, and federal compensation/pension where eligible.

Member Duties : Assist Veteran Service Officers by attending networking and community events, providing customer service, the distribution of marketing materials, assist in the registration process, and document received data/documents.
