SRCEH Homeless Capacity Building Project
 
 
 
SRCEH Mission: to end and prevent homelessness in the Sacramento region through policy analysis, community education, civic engagement, collective organizing and advocacy Build capacity by educating community stakeholders and policymakers on the reasons why people are homeless and strategies needed to end and prevent homelessness. Will focus on affordable housing, employment, income and health care issues.

Member Duties : [1] build a SRCEH Homeless Speakers Bureau and train 5 currently or formerly homeless speakers to educate the community about homelessness [2] build a social media presence for SRCEH to expand our membership – especially to local high schools, colleges and universities [3] write, produce and disseminate monthly SRCEH E-News & Action Alerts; [4] Membership: conduct annual online membership drive; [5] Expand capacity of service providers: survey regional homeless service providers on their training needs and coordinate quarterly trainings; [6] assist in research, writing and production of SRCEH’s publications including the 2016 Sacramento County: Homeless Deaths Report [third report].
