Fund Development Associate
 
 
 
The mission of the Food Bank of South Jersey (FBSJ) is to provide an immediate solution to the urgent problem of hunger by providing food to people in need, teaching them to eat nutritiously, and helping them to find sustainable ways to improve their lives. The AmeriCorps VISTA Fund Development Associate will work with the FBSJ marketing team to develop and implement systems to build capacity for fund development and community engagement in order to support and expand quality services to food insecure families in South Jersey. This position will support a wide range of initiatives throughout the organization, so the applicant must be an upbeat self-starter, organized and enjoy a fast-paced work environment. AmeriCorps VISTA members leave with a valuable experience for resumes and a professional portfolio. This position is great for someone who is interested in non-profit development, fundraising, event planning, and corporate relations and outreach.

Member Duties : The Fund Development VISTA will: 1). Work with fundraising team to implement (corporate) account management processes 2).Work with events and volunteer manager to create a Promotions/Street Marketing team 3).Work with events manager to build the third party events programs 4). Work with fundraising team to evaluate all fundraising events, their results and impact. 5). Work with fundraising team on administrative tasks that enhance the delivery of excellent donor and volunteer services. This position requires pre-service drug screening and criminal background checks.
