Florida Keys Outreach Coalition Community Development

Work with concerned community members and service providers in Key West to implement new services which will create positive impacts on those living in poverty. This project will need a motivated individual who is ready to work with different parts of the community to create a plan of action to address the real needs of those living in poverty or homelessness. Ideally, these services will be able to be duplicated in additional underserved areas of the Florida Keys. This VISTA member will address the true needs of those living in poverty and homelessness, bring together community resources, lead effort to create new services and ultimately help end homelessness in the Florida Keys. FKOC has over 24 years of experience working with the homeless in the Lower Florida Keys and is now expanding services to the Upper Keys. This is a unique opportunity to be hands on in the development of real change in community. If you are a creative, hardworking individual who is looking to learn how programs are developed and created this is a great project for you. VISTA members on this project will have a chance to work with an experienced team, while at the same time developing a project from start to finish.
