Neighborhood Revitalization Coordinator
 
 
 
Community enCompass (CenC) pursues strategies to maximize the engagement of empowered neighbors to create healthy neighborhoods, collaborating with neighbors, human service organizations, local government, churches, grass roots organizations, schools, and neighborhood associations to coordinate revitalization activities and services. VISTA will support long-term fund development and volunteer recruitment for programs that serve the local community through positive engagement of neighbors. VISTA play an important role in building organizational capacity coordinating the recruiting, training, and equipping models which support long-term, sustainable changes. The Blight Fight Initiative in Nelson Neighborhood is an initiative intended to leave a meaningful impact on the community. The VISTA will assist with developing new revenue streams to fund housing development projects and forge and strengthen relationships with new and existing partner organizations and neighbors This position is best suited for someone with a diverse set of skills that is a self-starter; eager to learn; and comfortable leading volunteers.

Member Duties : Liaison between community partners & neighbors; Communication of information to stakeholders; Orchestrate neighborhood events and capital projects; Identify and secure resources to augment neighborhood assets; Maintain project files and project reports; Liaison between neighbors, City, and business owners; Organize volunteers to effectively accomplish projects; Assist with developing new revenue streams to fund housing development projects and forge and strengthen relationships with new and existing partner organizations and neighbors. Coordinate strategies to build and strengthen resident involvement in the Target area. They will assist in supporting efforts in the construction of new and rehabilitated homes and home repair projects. This position is best suited for someone with a diverse set of skills that is a self-starter; eager to learn; and comfortable leading volunteers
