Boys & Girls Club of Greater Flint Teen Services VISTA
 
 
 
The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Flint will inspire and enable all youth, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, caring citizens. The Teen Services VISTA will assist with managing grants and reports related to teen programming. They will also coordinate teen engagement activities and programs with the Teen Program Assistant. Also working to improve and strengthen relationships between the organization and local high schools. The Teen Services VISTA will create and help implement a system to track average daily attendance among Club members ages 13-17. This service member will connect with local colleges and universities to provide information and resources to Club members. They will also research and create strategies for teen recruitment and retention as part of the Boys & Girls Clubs mission and philosophy. This service member additionally will organize and assist in annual teen scholarship opportunities and competitions between the Club and local organizations, foundations and businesses.

Member Duties : The AmeriCorps member will work alongside other VISTA members in addition to Club leadership and program staff to improve and strengthen teen programming, serving youth ages 13-17. The main focus of their service will be connecting the organization with like minded organizations and businesses to better serve the teen population. Our focus is to research and create strategies that will recruit and retain teenage Club members.
