United Way Montcalm-Ionia (Fenwick)- MFOC

40% of Michigan households struggle to afford the basic necessities of housing, childcare, food, health care and transportation. In fact, 14.3% of Michigan families were food insecure at some point during 2013, lacking access to enough food to provide an active, healthy life for all household members. The Michigan Financial Opportunity Corps will address these issues by facilitating financial education trainings to help Michiganders understand how to better manage their budgets. Each member will participate in facilitating financial education classes and hosting an event that highlights the resources available in their communities. More specific information for this position can be found in the "Member Duties" section of this posting. Each member is responsible for recruiting and managing volunteers, participating actively in building the capacity of the host agency and for ensuring that each consumer they interact with has a better understanding of resources available. This application is for the host site at United Way Montcalm-Ionia Counties in Fenwick, MI.
