2017-18 Work Scholars Development Assistant - Lewiston, ID
 
 
 
Be a part of something new! Help build a new program in the state of Idaho that virtually eliminates the need for students to take out student loans. The LC Work Scholars program provides access to higher education through work-based learning opportunities. Students with a demonstrated financial need offset their need to rely on student loans by earning financial assistance and gain valuable on-the-job experience offering them a pathway to employment after graduation.

Member Duties : Gain experience in grant writing, marketing, and program development. VISTA members will have the opportunity to be actively involved in project development including recruiting and training employers, developing program policies, procedures and forms, conducting and arranging training for partner organizations and students, identifying community resources, researching and writing grants, coordinating efforts between Work Scholars and campus employers, and data collection and analysis.
